CNC machining centers

The term "CNC machining center" describes almost any CNC milling and CNC turning machine that includes a CNC, an automatic tool changer and a table or chucks for clamping workpiece. This type of machinery is an advanced manufacturing machine tool that can realize automaticity a variety of machining operations like milling, turning, drilling, boring and etc with high accuracy, speed and quality.

Generally, CNC machining centers are existing milling or lathe machines successfully addopted with CNC technology. Therefore, it is customary to divide these machines into types according to the processing technology used by. 

 

CNC milling centers

CNC milling centers are the most widely used types of CNC machines. This machines are based on regular milling machine tools and perform all machining process like milling, drilling, cutting, taping, grooving and so on. CNC milling machines can be divided into horizontal and vertical. In vertical milling machines (VMC), the machine spindle is vertically oriented, in horizontal milling machines (HMC) it is horizontally oriented.

 

CNC turning centers

CNC turning center is based on CNC lathe machine, with some additional special features - it may include some milling capabilities, dual spindle, part catcher and other.
